Sunday November 16th -- At Sporting Khalsa Bloxwich

Match 1

Wyrley Tigers 3 v 1 Colts

First match started well with us holding our own with just 6 men for the first 5 minutes.
Oliver Nicholls and Callum Sanders made some super tackles in defence and Oliver Standley stood up well in goal making a series of saves including one super reflex save with his right foot.
Omraj Khela and Alex Cooke tried to hold midfield but were overpowered by a strong Wyrley team. Eventually we managed to break through with our best move of the match as Matt Curtiss and Ben Hall, who had both covered the pitch many times over, battled in the box until Matt finally sneaked a goal.

Final score Wyrley 3 v 1 Colts.

Match 2

Ashmore Park 2 v 1 Colts.

Second match started well. The team were holding there shape a little better and starting to pass. Oliver Nicholls was now in goal with Oliver Stanley replacing him in defence. Some good movement saw us take the lead with a super goal from Omaraj Khela in the first half. Unfortunately after some good defensive work from Ben Rudd and a series of excellent saves from Oliver Nicholls the opposition had a lucky deflection and the scores were level. We battled on, coming close several times but a late goal from Ashmore park seemed unfair as we looked the better side.

Final score Ashmore 2 v 1 Colts.

Man of the Match.

Todays man of the match went to a player who battled hard up front. Tirelessly covered the length of the pitch making some key tackles in front of goal, was unselfish in possession and executed some super passes. Well done to Matt Curtiss.
