SEASON 2010/2011

Brownhills Community Colts 0 v 6 Bilbrook Girls

(HT 0 – 1)

10th April 2010

In the first half of this game, Colts showed the high-flying Bilbrook side, exactly what they can do.  With Bilbrook chasing the league title, this was not quite the ‘easy’ game expected.  The Brownhills side gave a fantastic display in all areas, although the final ball again let them down.

Conceding a goal late in the first half dented the Colts confidence somewhat and the pace of the game took it’s toll in the second half.  Emma Roberts and Chloe Cox thoroughly deserved their Girl of the Game accolades, with fantastic individual exhibitions.  However, this was an exceptional performance from every single one of the Brownhills side and they can all be proud of their excellent teamwork.

Opposition Girl of the Game:           Emma Roberts

Brownhills Community Colts 0 v 6 Wyrley Panthers

(HT 0 – 1)

17th April 2010

It was a case of déjà vu for the Brownhills side, against another of the two sides in line for the league title.  The Panthers side were rattled by the Colts tenacity and the only goal of the first half was greeted with great relief from the travelling supporters.

Emma Roberts was resolute in defence, earning her second opposition Girl of the Game award in two weeks, reflecting the respect she has earned from both league-leading opposition teams.  Chelsea Gunn gave another dazzling display in goal, receiving praise from the opposition coach following the game.

The Colts’ coaches can only conclude that bright sunshine suits the team and improves overall performance.
