Brownhills down to the bear bones through injuries this week put a comendable brave performance against Bush Blades. Bush scored from a long ball over the top which caught the Brownhills defense square with the Bush striker scoring off the lefthand post. Brownhills came under more pressure but excellent defensive performances from Owen Taylor, Patrick Patton, Ben Gray and Jack Newens kept Bush at bay. Goalkeeper Adam Powell also made some excellent blocks.

 

After half time Brownhills pushed forward but it was one of those days were Brownhills tried but just could not score. Strikers Liam Perry and Brandon Hawkins both worked tirelessly but could not get the equaliser.

 

Midfielders Callum Bryant, Josh Gittens, Tom Carter and Luke Evans all gave 100% effort and especially Callum Bryant who although unwell played the full 60 minutes.

 

Parents Player of the Match sponsored by G Simmonds Scatchings went to tough tackling right back Patrick Patton who had an outstanding game in his first game back after injury. Special mention also to Jack Newens who gave his all for the team.
